Water contaminated fuel

Fuel contaminated with water, whether it's unleaded or diesel, is generally an important matter to address in a motor vehicle - especially in present-day common-rail engines. Water inside your fuel tank may contribute to idling issues, uneven running, increased smoke and, if it's not addressed correctly, quite possibly blown injectors. Having water in petrol is quicker to clean out in comparison with water in diesel - this is largely due to the fact that diesel is an oil. Even so we can handle both situations rather swiftly.

You should know though that so long as the vehicle was run with the fuel contaminated with water it will quite possible require a new fuel filter fitted since the previous one will likely be wholly water-logged and unusable.

Wrong Fuel Assist Walmley - Walmley Petrol in Diesel

I appreciated a great day hiking during the weekend and felt pleased with myself the following working day as I set out to help a new family who were on vacation in Walmley. They conked out after inserting diesel into their Citroen, and the car was roughly half an hour away. I emerged at their location and smiled to myself while I heard to the woman berating her hubby for being so confused. "Just how could you conceivably find a way to fill up by using the wrong fuel?" she demanded of him. I tried to explain that this situation happens frequently in Birmingham and that it is nothing to be anxious about, but he still got an earful. I felt sorry for the guy. In any case, I removed all the polluted fuel, gave the fuel system a flush and filled it up with the appropriate fuel. Watching them drive away I shouted good bye and considered what her indoors would do to me if ever I did the same thing... I would under no circumstances hear the end of it!
