AdBlue In your Fuel

This is to some extent due to people not being totally sure the right way to work with it (note: it is in reality not a fuel additive), and partly due to the fact that the inlets for diesel and AdBlue are generally right next to one another on the car.

Well, what's the trouble with having AdBlue in your diesel tank? Seeing as AdBlue is mostly ionised water, it is as bad as pouring water in to your tank. Diesel and water really do not mix in any way and attempting to run a diesel car on water is not going to work. Moreover, the urea is particularly corrosive to your fuel system hoses and seals and is more prone to crystallisation, damaging injectors and filters.

If you find you have put AdBlue in a fuel tank drain it at the earliest opportunity. And obviously don't switch on the vehicle - not even to move it off the pump. In cases where you did start the vehicle you will in all likelihood have to have the complete fuel system flushed and filters replaced.
