It was around eight pm on a Friday and while we were assured a dry night, it hadn't ceased raining! Dan and I were sitting commenting on the football, waiting for the next fuel drain for the day to come in. Inevitably we received the phone call from a girl on a company expedition who had gone to the Tesco filling garage in Kingston near Lewes and filled the wrong fuel in a diesel Lexus hire car. She was quite affected by the sounds of it, telling me "I simply can't believe I have ruined the car! I am just so used to filling my petrol car that I totally forgot I was driving a diesel!" We told her to calm down and not to worry, and that these things can happen. She was able to get the vehicle into a secure position and, because it was only a few miles off from us, we could find her without delay. The wrong fuel was removed so she was able to go home to the Travelodge she was staying at. Despite the fact that we got really wet, it was all rewarding seeing her drive away calm and a lot less stressed. Another job in East Sussex done well in my opinion!

Filling up the Tank with Wrong Fuel - Having your diesel engine filled with petrol can cause lots of trouble.
Your engine might begin coughing, you might experience stalling, you may find smoke, and you could have issues starting the vehicle. If the situation is reverse where diesel is pumped on the petrol engine, the symptoms are still the same. Whichever of the two kinds of fuels, we can have it fixed for you.
An engine contaminated with water - If you fill your vehicle with water and not with the wrong fuel you are also in danger of losing your engine. Engine filled with water has to be fully drained. Without draining, it will get rusty, and many other problems will soon follow. Our experts will drain your engine without much sweat. We also give help with filter replacement.
AdBlue in your tank - Similar to the wrong fuel in the wrong place, people tend to add AdBlue to their engine. Most of them misunderstand the purpose of AdBlue. It should go in a special compartment around the engine, and not the engine itself. It reduces emissions. AdBlue contamination numbers are rising steadily. In the event you encounter that problem, let's take care of it for you.
Red Diesel in the Tank - Accidentally filling the tank is the most typical cause of this. Distraction or not focused in filling the tank from a tank or jerry can is one of the typical reasons of this contamination. This can likely take place as there are 1500 UK garages that sell this type of diesel. If it happens to you, we'll handle it quickly and proficiently.
Old fuel in your tank - As time passes, the fuel in the car that has been sitting in the garage for a long time may degrade and not great for the engine anymore. The engine may begin when you turn it on but the car won?t run. This old fuel needs to be flushed out and we can do that too.
