It was around six pm on a Monday and even though we were assured a dry afternoon, it had not given up on pouring! Ray and me were resting commenting on the weekend's rugby results, prepared for the next job that day to come in. Eventually we received a phone call from a young lady on a company excursion who had arrived at the BP filling station in Burford and filled petrol in a diesel Volvo rental in error. She was very irritated by the sounds of it, stating "I just can't believe I've ruined the car! I am just so accustomed to filling my petrol car that I completely did not remember I was operating a diesel!" I just instructed her to settle back and not to fret, and also that such things sadly can happen. She was able to move the vehicle to a protected spot and, since it was no more than a few minutes off from our van, we could arrive at the customer without delay. The wrong fuel was drained and she could get back to the Travelodge she was residing at. Although we got thoroughly drenched, it was all worth the time seeing her drive home relaxed and less worried. One more job in Oxfordshire well done in my opinion!

We can help you with all these mis-fuel problems.
Adding the wrong fuel - Adding petrol fuel to a diesel engine can lead to all sorts of problems.
Once that takes place, you'll observe your engine to start coughing or it might stall. You'll see abnormal smoke in the exhaust and starting it back is a problem. If the situation is reverse where diesel is pumped on the petrol engine, the symptoms are still similar. Either way, we'll fix it for you.
An engine contaminated with water - If you fill up your vehicle with water and not with the incorrect fuel you are also in danger of losing your engine. Engine filled up with water should be completely drained. Without draining, it will get rusty, and other problems will quickly follow. Our experts will drain your engine without much sweat. We also give help with filter replacement.
AdBlue immediately added to your tank - Mistakenly adding AdBlue to your tank can contaminate your fuel system. People usually don?t have a concrete idea of what AdBlue is for. It?s not a fuel additive. It?s a liquid that helps reduce the damaging effect on our environment by reducing the emissions in the car?s exhaust. It should be added via a separate tank, not directly to the fuel tank. In the event you fall victim to this contamination, let?s us do the flushing work.
Tank with red diesel - This type of fuel may be distributed in a limited number of garage outlets. Still, contamination may find its way to your tank. You may fill your tank accidentally using jerry cans filled up with red diesel. You are maybe not focused on what you are doing or distracted when this happened. Still, don?t worry; we know what to do with it.
Old and unused fuel in your tank - As time passes by, fuel that was stored for a long period of time will have its quality degrade. Using it to your car might give you trouble. This old fuel has to be drained and changed.

Petrol in Diesel Burford - Burford Fuel Removal
This really was an unsociable time to be on the road. It was roughly 2:30 in the morning and almost noone was around. It had become rather dead so far, and Mark and I were relaxing reading a few old magazines. This was a rare quiet time in Oxfordshire. It was that relaxing that when the telephone finally rang I jumped! The customer on the opposite end said: "I've just concluded my overnight shift and incredibly put the wrong fuel in a diesel Land Rover by mistake". We instructed him to tell us where exactly the vehicle was and we headed out, arriving in Burford not as much as half an hour later. The incorrect fuel was extracted from the vehicle and he said thanks a lot for coming out so rapidly. As we were coming back home we saw two young ladies on the side of the highway who appeared to have a puncture. So we pulled over to help them change it, much to their elation.
