So, what's the issue with having AdBlue in a diesel vehicle? As AdBlue is mainly ionised water, it is almost the same as putting water in to your tank. Diesel and water don't blend in any way and trying to run a diesel car on water does not work. In addition to this, the urea is particularly corrosive to your fuel system lines and seals and is susceptible to crystalising, obstructing injectors and fuel filters.
