It was close to 6 pm on a Wednesday and though we were assured a dry evening, it had not stopped raining! Brian and I were relaxing commenting on the weekend's sports rankings, waiting around for the next call for the day to arrive. Now, exactly what is the matter with having AdBlue in the diesel car? Seeing as AdBlue is mainly deionised water, it's nearly as good as pouring water in to your tank. Diesel and water do not mix at all and attempting to run a diesel car on water does not work. Apart from this, the urea is very corrosive to the fuel system hoses and seals and is prone to crystalising, clogging injectors and filters.

Water contaminated fuel

Fuel contaminated with water, regardless of whether it's petrol or diesel, is usually a serious situation to deal with in a motor vehicle - specifically in current day common-rail engines.
